Visited today. Pleasant staff. Reasonable surroundings although the pine table could have done with sanding down and re-varnishing. I had chicken enchilada with salad and wedges. Menu said guacamole and sour cream, they didn't come separate, disappointed about that. Lots of chicken. Tasty but I thought a but over priced at 12.95. Hubby had chicken and bacon pie, a fair bit of bacon but chicken was shredded. The bill came to just over 27, this included 2 halves of beer. A similar meal at The Kings Arms Hathern would have been 7 cheaper.
I have just been to this PUBLIC HOUSE along with my 11 month old daughter for lunch. While waiting for our lunch a member of staff came over to ask me to keep my 11 month old daughter quiet as they have had complaints.... I'm not sure how they expected me to keep my daughter quiet. She is who she is... at the age of 11 months she doesn't understand how to be quiet. I felt really uncomfortable after this and quickly ate our lunch and left. Never mind how rude I thought it was!!
Got a recommendation to try this place. Sort of pub that caters for everyone, drinkers watching the sport, family's with play area outside, bar meals and restaurant. There is a very varied menu, again something for every taste. The food is of good quality and there's plenty of it.The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was due to the waiting time for our food when the pub was fairly quiet it took nearly 45 minutes from order to serving.Will definately return especially to try the mega mix grill
